I’m not really trying to attack the Russo’s. As I said, I think what they are doing isn’t out of maliciousness, but out of not being able to see it from the point of view of their queer fans. 

The answer they gave in China as to whether Steve and Bucky were lovers was fine and that definitely wasn’t queerbaiting. 

Was is queerbaiting though is when they started doing the equivalent of buying drinks at the bar, sitting down next to us, nudging us with their elbows and saying: “Yeah, I know what you mean!” *wink* *wink*

They think they are being chummy and engaging with us by teasing that ‘Steve and Bucky are so close they are basically the romantic lead’ and so forth. 

They’re acting like they’re on our side, when very clearly they aren’t. 

But I’ve seen so many posts in the Stucky tag where people have taken their ‘chummy talk’ to hear and now  believe they are Steve/Bucky shippers and somehow will work Steve/Bucky into Civil War, and it breaks my heart. I’m trying to make sure this fandom doesn’t fall down that hole and sees their comments and quips for what they really are.
